Secretary General of GUAM took part in the international conference “Regional cooperation – opportunities, challenges and synergy” in Chisinau, 17 June 2008On 17 June 2008, International Conference “Regional cooperation – opportunities, challenges and synergy” had taken place in Chisinau. Representatives of international initiatives and organizations discussed perspectives of cooperation in order to insure compatibility of actions and build up synergies. During Session one: Political approach, on behalf of Azerbaijani Presidency Mr. Anar Jahangirli addressed the meeting, informing participants of the Conference about Program and Priorities of Presidency.
During Session two: Sectoral approach Secretary General provided to participants of the conference information about the sectoral activities of GUAM.
Participants agreed, that dialogue was important and useful, decided to continue consultations and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova for valuable and timely initiative.
